Mount Shirazasa

白笹山

Shirasasayama is a 1,719 m peak in western Nasushiobara City, Tochigi, on the southwestern edge of the Nasu volcanic group, west of Minamigassan. Within Nikko National Park, it lies on the ridge traverse from Numappara Marsh to Minamigassan. The trail climbs through beech forest to bamboo grass near the summit, with autumn colors and views. The approach from Numappara Parking Area also offers Japanese azaleas in spring and fireweed in summer.
