Mount Sanpuku

三伏山

A 2,615-meter peak in Oshika Village, Nagano Prefecture, near the Shizuoka border in the Southern Alps. It stands on the trail from Sanpuku Pass, regarded as Japan’s highest mountain pass, toward Mount Shiomi, about a 15-minute walk from Sanpuku Pass Hut. The summit overlooks the Ina Valley and Mount Shiomi and offers sunrise, sunset and starry skies. It lies within Minami Alps National Park.
