Small Shizuoka prefectural emergency hut at about 2,780m just below the summit of Ogouchidake in the Southern Alps. Tokushu Tokai Forest operates it; for a short high-summer period a keeper is present and takes room-only guests with bedding on a walk-in basis. It stands on the ridge between Sanpukutoge and Takayamaura, the quiet middle stretch of the traverse linking Shiomidake with the Arakawa peaks. With space for only five, organised tours and groups are in principle not accepted. Being on the crest, it has neither a water source nor any supply, so water must be collected near Sanpukutoge-goya or Takayamaura Hinangoya. There is no designated campsite nearby, so tents are not allowed. Outside the season the whole hut is left open as a shelter.
