Mount Kamakura — also known as Gorilla Mountain — is a 519.7 m peak in the Sakunami area of Aoba Ward, Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, named for its profile, which resembles a gorilla's face when viewed from the south. A roughly 100 m andesite cliff rises along its southern face, and the trailhead lies just a short walk from JR Sakunami Station on the Senzan Line. The peak is included in the Miyagi Prefecture Mountain Guide.
