Mount Iegata

Mount Iegata is a 1,877 m peak in the eastern Azuma range, spanning Fukushima City and Inawashiro Town in Fukushima Prefecture. Its name is said to come from the house-shaped profile of its eastern face. Within Bandai-Asahi National Park, it lies north of Mount Issaikyo, which has active fumaroles. The summit overlooks the crater lake Goshikinuma, also called the Witch's Eye, to the south and the distant Zao range to the north.
