Mount Aibetsu is a 2,112.7 m peak in Kamikawa Town, Hokkaido — the northernmost 2,000-metre summit named on Japan's Geospatial Information Authority topographic maps. Within the otherwise gentle Daisetsuzan range, its sharp rocky pyramid stands out conspicuously. The classic loop from the Aizankei trailhead climbs over Mount Nagayama and Mount Pippu before traversing the narrow Tsuri-o (suspension ridge) below the summit, a section advised against in fog, high wind, or icy conditions. The mountain lies within Daisetsuzan National Park and is one of the 100 Famous Mountains of Hokkaido.
