The north peak of Mimatayama in the Kuju range, Oita Prefecture, at 1,690 m. Mimatayama has four summits — west, main, north and south — and the circuit past the Onabe and Konabe crater hollows to the north and south peaks, though faint in places, is prized for rhododendron in spring, Kyushu azalea in June and enkianthus colour in October. It lies in Aso-Kuju National Park.
