This loop climbs from Mizukoshi Pass to Mount Kongō, visits Katsuragi Shrine in the summit area, and returns to the pass. Mount Kongō lies on the Osaka–Nara border and is a principal mountain on the roughly 45 km Diamond Trail, which links Mount Nijō to Mount Makio.
