This circuit from Mizukoshi Pass follows Momiji Valley up to Mount Kongō, then returns via Mount Dainichi and the Taio route. Momiji Valley repeatedly crosses the stream, contrasting with the ridge walk linking Mount Kongō and Mount Dainichi. Mount Dainichi is the 1,094-metre peak north of Mount Kongō.
