Starting from Mizukoshi Pass, this circuit climbs via the Taio barrier site to Mount Dainichi and Mount Kongō, then returns on the Diamond Trail. Mount Dainichi lies on the Taio route, while Mount Kongō is the principal peak of the mountain area on the Osaka–Nara border.
