This circuit starts at Mizukoshi Pass, follows the forest road and climbs Momijidani to Kongōsan's summit area, then returns over Dainichidake and the Taiō Ridge. Its two halves contrast a stream valley and check dams on the ascent with open summit scenery and a long forested ridge descent.
