Yawata Highland 191 Resort trail map
Yawata Highland 191 sits beside Route 191 on the Yawata plateau in Kitahiroshima, one of the snowiest corners of the Chugoku region. Four pair lifts serve seven runs, from gentle beginner slopes to a 31-degree pitch, with mogul lines and a terrain park with kickers and rails. A sled slope and lessons for young children make it easy for families, and in winter you can even camp on the snow at the ski area. The season usually runs from late December into early March. It is about 38 minutes from Togouchi IC on the Chugoku Expressway, and ski buses run from Hiroshima Station.
