Yamagata City Youth Nature Center Ski Slope is a small hill in front of the outdoor activity centre of the city's youth nature centre in Hataya, Yamanobe. In winter it is opened to individuals and families. A free T-bar (rope tow) serves the slope, where you can ski or sled with your own gear or ride free snow tubes, and cross-country skis can be rented for a dedicated course. It makes an easy spot for snow play and ski practice, about 35 minutes by car from Yamagata City Hall.
