Toyotomi Onsen Ski Area is the town ski hill right behind the spa village of Toyotomi Onsen, Japan's northernmost hot spring resort, near the Sarobetsu wetlands. A single lift serves beginner and intermediate runs, the main one a wide mid-gradient slope, with views of Mt. Rishiri from the chair. There is night skiing on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and lessons and ski badge tests for children through advanced skiers. Afterwards visitors soak in the oily, skin-soothing water of Toyotomi Onsen. The season usually runs from late December to mid-March.

Train
- Sapporo Station → Toyotomi Station JR Soya Main Line · About 4 hr 30 min by limited express · About 50 min by local train from Wakkanai. When no bus runs, Toyotomi town runs a reservation-based shared ride → Engan Bus (route 32 Toyotomi–Horonobe / route 12 Horonobe–Rumoi) to 'Toyotomi Onsen Ski-jo Mae', about 12 min
