Higashigaoka Ski Area is a small town-run hill on the east side of Horonobe in northern Hokkaido, about a ten-minute walk from JR Horonobe Station. Opened in 1992, it has one lift and three runs on a slope with 56 m of vertical, a longest run of 325 m and a maximum pitch of 22 degrees. There is a lodge, and it mainly serves local families and school ski lessons. The slope has floodlights, but night skiing is currently suspended.
