Suishozan is the hometown family hill of Kazuno, set on the north face of Mt. Suisho just outside the town centre. Runs lined with cedar trees are mostly gentle to moderate, five of them served by a single pair chairlift, and on clear days you can see over Hanawa to the Hachimantai mountains. A small kids' slope suits first-timers, and it is the only area in Kazuno with night skiing, on Friday and Saturday evenings. It is about 15 minutes from the Kazuno-Hachimantai IC on the Tohoku Expressway and usually runs from late December to early March.
