Senhata Ski Area was a gondola-served ski hill in Kurosawa, in the former town of Senhata, now Misato, Akita Prefecture. Run by Prince Hotels on leased national forest land, it climbed from about 365 m at the base to 740 m at the top, where a broad summit slope suited beginners. It had two courses and allowed snowboarding, and local schools used it for ski days and exchange visits. The hill last operated in the 2004 fiscal year. Its lifts were later removed, and in 2009 the old runs were replanted with cedar and beech to return the slopes to forest.
