Sannai was a small village ski hill beside Route 107 near the Ainono tunnel, in the former Sannai Village, now part of Yokote City in southern Akita. It had two rope tows on a short slope of roughly 65 m vertical and was used mainly for ski lessons at the nearby elementary school and by local families. It closed in 2018. The former slope is still known locally as the old Sannai ski area and serves as a meeting point for community events such as wild-vegetable picking.
