Rokuroshi Kogen Ski Park Closed
Official name 六呂師高原スキーパーク · Formerly 六呂師高原スキー場
Fukui
Open 1972–2021
Rokuroshi Kogen Ski Park stood on the Rokuroshi plateau below Mount Kyogatake in Ono, Fukui. Its predecessor, Rokuroshi Kogen Ski Area, opened in 1972 and was a family favourite in the prefecture, with night skiing and a snowboard park, but it closed in 2012 when its operating cooperative went bankrupt. The prefecture rebuilt the site as a small beginner area with a gentle 300 m slope and two simple lifts, reopening it in 2017 and adding an artificial-turf slope for summer. With few visitors it stopped operating from 2021, and a prefecture and city plan calls for removing its facilities and returning the site to greenery.
