Oyu Onsen Ski Area Closed

Oyu Onsen Ski Area was a small hill next to the Oyu hot-spring village in the Yunotani area of Uonuma, Niigata. Opened in 1960 by the former Yunotani village, it had one lift and four runs between about 300 and 450 m, making it the smallest ski area in Uonuma. Its slopes were steep and narrow and not suited to beginners, yet it drew many families. It closed after the 2020-21 season.
