Official name 小千谷スキー場
Niigata
Open 1962–1999
Ojiya Ski Area was a small ski hill on the east side of central Ojiya, Niigata, less than a kilometre from JR Ojiya Station. Opened in 1962, it had a single-seat chairlift of about 300 m serving three runs up to roughly 500 m long over about 65 m of vertical. With no large car park, some skiers simply came by train. It closed around 1999 and has been left abandoned since; the cable is gone, but lift towers and other parts still stand.
