Fukushima
Closed in 2018
Mishima Choei was a small town-run ski hill in Mishima, in the Oku-Aizu district of western Fukushima, within walking distance of Aizu-Miyashita Station on the JR Tadami Line. A gentle slope served by rope tows, it opened on weekends and holidays, hosting town ski lessons, sledding and a local snow festival. From 2018 the town could no longer open it to the public, and afterwards it was used only for nursery-school sledding and the snow event. Parts of a rope tow and the base building remain.
