Official name 斑尾高原豊田スキー場
Nagano
Open 2002–2011
Madarao Kogen Toyota Ski Area was a small ski hill on Mount Madarao in the former village of Toyota, now part of Nakano City, Nagano. It opened in December 2002 as the prefecture's first new ski area in six years, backed by the local civil-engineering firm Iiyama Rikuso. Two lifts served three runs between about 800 and 1,200 m, the longest about 1.3 km, aimed at beginners, families and day visitors. The hill closed for the 2007 and 2008 seasons, reopened in 2009, and has not operated since fiscal 2011. In 2013 the site passed to Seiko Gakuin, a school in Yokohama, which now uses it as a camp for its students.
