X-JAM Takai Fuji trail map

X-JAM Takai Fuji, on Mt. Kosha in the Kita-Shiga highlands of Nagano, is known for one of Japan's largest terrain parks, with 47 features including a halfpipe, and has long been called a mecca for snowboarders. Freestyle riders and skiers come to train on its jumps and rails, yet half the runs are beginner level, and the broad, gentle slopes suit families and first-timers too. Linked by lift and trail to neighbouring Yomase Onsen, it is sold with it as Mt. KOSHA on a shared ticket. The season runs from late December to late March, and it is reached by car from the Shinshu-Nakano exit or by taxi from Yudanaka Station.
