Kitashiga Komaruyama Ski Area trail map
Kitashiga Komaruyama is a friendly, compact ski area in the Kitashiga Highlands of Yamanouchi, Nagano, spread right in front of the Kitashiga Grand Hotel, so guests step straight onto the snow. It is well known for hosting school ski trips and training camps. The wide, gentle first slope is ideal for lessons and has night skiing, the second suits beginners and intermediates, and the third, up to 38 degrees, is for experts. Rails, a small ski shrine and a link course to neighbouring Ryuoo Ski Park add variety. A shuttle bus connects it with Iiyama Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen.
