Midori Ski Area is a small town-run hill in the Midori district of Kiyosato, a short walk from Midori Station on the JR Senmo Line. One single chairlift serves two runs of about 500 m, and the slope is used for local elementary school ski lessons as well as by residents. The hill is floodlit for night skiing, snowboarding is allowed everywhere, and there used to be a small snow park with kickers. There is no rental, so bring your own gear. Midori-no-yu, a natural hot spring by the station, is handy after skiing. The season depends on snow and usually runs from January into March.
