Kiyokawa Kogen Ski Area Closed
Official name 清川高原スキー場
Niigata
Opened in 1970
Kiyokawa Kogen Ski Area was a small hill near central Tsugawa, now part of Aga, Niigata, next to the Tsugawa Onsen Kiyokawa Kogen hot-spring centre. Opened in 1970, it had one single chairlift of about 335 m serving a ski-only slope roughly 350 m long with about 60 m of vertical, plus a ski jump to the west. It closed around 1990. The lift has gone and the rebuilt road to the hot-spring centre now cuts across the old run, leaving almost nothing to see.
