Mt. Mandaroku

Mt. Mandaroku is an 865 m peak on the boundary between Aga Town (Higashikambara District) and Gosen City in Niigata Prefecture, included in the Niigata no Yamaaruki 50-sen guide. The official topographic name is 'Mandaroku-yama,' but trailhead signs also use names such as Hikura-yama and Mataroku-yama. A steep ridge from the south bank of the Aga River along Route 49 leads to the summit, from which the Iide and Azuma ranges, Mt. Bandai, the Gozu Range and Sado Island are visible.
