Kanose Ski Area Closed

Kanose Ski Area was a small hill east of Tsugawa in the former town of Kanose, now part of Aga, Niigata, and was known locally as Amana. A single lift served a slope with roughly 40 metres of vertical, there was reportedly a ski jump, and the hill hosted local ski events. It closed before snowboarding became common. The lift has been removed and the site is now overgrown.
