Alpenrose Ski Area was one of the ski hills of the Kannabe Highlands in Hidaka, now part of Toyooka in Hyogo Prefecture. Kannabe was one of the earliest ski centres in western Japan, and at its peak several more hills operated there besides today's three, including Kannabe Family, Kita-Kannabe and Nairo. Alpenrose suspended operations after the 2001 season and was later abolished.
