Sanpōbunzan is a 1,422 m peak rising at the meeting point of Kōfu City, Minobu Town and Fujikawaguchiko Town in Yamanashi Prefecture; its name records that it once formed the border of the three former villages of Furusekii, Yasaka and Shōji. Set at the western end of the Misaka Range above Lake Shōji within Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, the eastern summit looks out across the lake to Mount Fuji and the famous "Kodaki Fuji" view of Fuji cradling Ōmuroyama. The peak appears in the Yamanashi 100 and many other regional 100-peak lists.
