Mount Ashiwada (1,355 m), whose summit is also called Goko-dai, stands north of the Fuji Five Lakes on the boundary of Fujikawaguchiko Town and Narusawa Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, within Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. Its observation deck overlooks Mount Fuji, the Aokigahara primeval forest and the lakes of Kawaguchi and Sai. The peak lies along the Tokai Nature Trail and is included in the 100 Famous Mountains of Yamanashi, the 100 Famous Low Mountains of Japan and the Yamanashi Hiking Course 100 Selection, among many other lists.
