This return route starts near Michi-no-Eki Katsuyama on Lake Kawaguchi’s southern shore, climbs Ikkodai on Hanekoyama, and follows the ridge past Danwayama to Gokodai on Ashiwadayama. Part of the walk overlaps the Tokai Nature Trail, with views of Lake Kawaguchi, Mount Fuji, and the Aokigahara forest from Ikkodai and Gokodai.
