From Saiko Iyashi-no-sato Nenba in Fujikawaguchiko, Yamanashi, a restored hamlet of about 20 thatched houses, the loop climbs 1,623 m Mount O, one of the Yamanashi 100 Mountains. It follows the ridge over Yoshizawayama and Kagikake down to Kagikake Pass, about 7 km in all, with postcard views of Mount Fuji rising beyond Lake Sai below and bellflowers along the trail in late summer.
