Mt. Oarashi

Mt. Oarashi is a 1,635-meter peak in the Yunohana district of Minamiaizu Town, Minamiaizu District, Fukushima Prefecture. A trail starts at Yunohana Onsen and climbs through cedar woods, waterfalls, and sawgrumi groves before traversing to neighboring Mt. Yunokura (1,343 m). The summit affords views of Mt. Aizu-Komagatake and other Aizu peaks; a yamabiraki ceremony is held each May at the Yunohana Onsen Exchange Center. The mountain is listed on the Utsukushima 100 and Aizu 100 Famous Mountains.
