Mt. Hitome

A 1,287-meter peak on the prefectural border between Oguni Town in Kumamoto and Kokonoe Town in Oita. It is one of the grass-covered summits on the ridge running northwest from Mt. Wakugaisan, and the traverse via Mt. Misokobushi to Mt. Wakugaisan is a popular short hike that offers 360-degree panoramas. Located close to the Hatchobaru geothermal plant and Sujiyu Onsen, it is included in the Oita Hyakuzan, Shin-Oita Hyakuzan, and Oita-ken no Hikui Yamayama lists.
