Mount Tomi

鳥見山

Mount Tomi stands east of Tomi Shrine and is traditionally associated with Emperor Jimmu establishing a sacred precinct to worship his ancestral deity. A monument on the mountain commemorates this tradition, while the shrine stands at its western foot. It is distinct from the mountain of the same name on the Uda boundary.
