Mount Takkomori

Mount Takkomori is a 262.7 m satoyama in Ōuri, Ōhira Village (Kurokawa District), Miyagi Prefecture, with the Ushino Dam at its northern foot. The surrounding Takkomori and Lake-shore Nature Park is selected as one of the 100 Natural Sites of Miyagi. A gentle ~1.5 km promenade climbs to the summit, where an observation deck affords views of the Nanatsu-mori hills, Minamigawa Dam, and the Funagata Range. The peak is listed in the Bunken Tozan Guide for Miyagi Prefecture and the New Bunken Tozan Guide for Miyagi.
