Mount Nijūrokuya is a 1,297-metre peak on the border of Tsuru City and Dōshi Village in Yamanashi Prefecture, lying on the main ridge of the northern Dōshi Range as the eastern anchor of the Imakura–Akaiwa–Nijūrokuya traverse. The name derives from the 'twenty-sixth-night moon vigil' once held on the 26th day of the first and seventh lunar months, and a large stone tablet inscribed 'Nijūrokuya' still stands at the summit. The peak commands fine views of Mount Fuji and Mount Mishōtai and is listed among the Tsuru 21 Outstanding Peaks and Shin Hana no Hyakumeizan.
