Mount Ōhira (1,295.5 m) rises on the northern shore of Lake Yamanaka in Yamanakako Village, Yamanashi Prefecture, within the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. The summit commands one of the closest panoramic views of Mount Fuji, rising directly across the lake, with the South Alps visible in the distance on clear days. A section of the Tōkai Nature Trail follows the ridge linking Mount Ōhira with Mount Iimori and Mount Nagaike, and the standard loop connects Yamanakako Kōryū Plaza Kirara with Hana-no-Miyako Park. The course is featured in the Yamanashi 100 Hiking Courses.
