Mount Misaka

Mount Misaka is a 1,596 m peak on the border between Fujikawaguchiko and Fuefuki in Yamanashi Prefecture, standing in the centre of the Misaka Range between Misaka Pass (1,520 m) and Mount Kuro (1,793 m). The old Kamakura highway across Misaka-tōge passes its base, lined with stone Buddhist statues and the ruined site of Misaka Castle. Its beech-and-Mizunara ridge opens to broad views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi, and the southern slopes are within the special zone of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. It is counted among the Kai Hyakuzan list.
