It is about a one-hour hike from the Mitsutoge trailhead on the Kawaguchiko side and cannot be reached directly by ordinary car. It is known for views of Mount Fuji and the night sky, private Japanese-style rooms, and meals that include Yamanashi's hoto noodles.
