Mount Jinpuku

A 792 m peak on the southern ridge of the Kongō Range, straddling the boundary between Kawachinagano City in Osaka Prefecture and Gojō City in Nara Prefecture. The wooded summit holds a small shrine of Sasao-jinja and remains attributed to a fortress (Sasao-Toride) said to have been built by Kusunoki Masashige during the Nanboku-chō period; the peak was historically a sacred site of Katsuragi Shugen. Jinpukuyama lies along the Osaka-Prefecture-managed Diamond Trail long-distance hiking route, with a short side path branching off the main trail between Chihaya-tōge and Gyōja-sugi.
