Mt. Nekomine (749 m) sits on the border between Hashimoto City in Wakayama and Kawachinagano City in Osaka, on the ridge linking the Kongo Mountains to the Izumi Range. The Diamond Trail, a long-distance route laid out by Osaka Prefecture, passes nearby, with the summit lying slightly off the main traverse. It appears in the 250 Mountains around Osaka and the Mountains of Osaka Prefecture hiking guide.
