Mount Izaru

Mount Izaru is a 2,540 m peak in the southern Southern Alps, set about 1.2 km east of Mount Tekari on the border of Iida in Nagano and Shizuoka Prefecture. Reached in roughly fifteen minutes return from a branch on the Senjigahara meadow just below Tekari Hut, it sits within Minami Alps National Park and shares with Mount Tekari the distinction of marking the world's southernmost natural range of the rock ptarmigan.
