Kozōmori is a 1,407 m peak of Murayama-Hayama (1,462 m) in Yamagata Prefecture, on the Hata course. The course runs from Kozōmori over Daizōmori to the summit of Hayama and its inner sanctuary, with sweeping views of Gassan from Daizōmori. Murayama-Hayama is a stratovolcano straddling Murayama and Sagae that was once counted, with Gassan and Haguro-san, among the Three Mountains of Dewa.
