Nagano

Open 1994–2017

Yamabiko no Oka was a ski area on the northeastern slopes of Mount Kosha in Kijimadaira village, Nagano. It opened in 1994 as the Ikenotaira slope of the Kijimadaira ski area, and its quad lift linked Kijimadaira with the Takaifuji slopes on the mountain's southern side. For a few seasons it was one of five areas on the mountain sold together under the Mt. KOSHA name, and in 2011 it took the name Yamabiko no Oka. The terrain ran from roughly 750 m to 950 m. It has not opened since the 2017-18 season, though its two lifts are still standing, and the Yamabiko no Oka park with flower fields and play areas lies nearby.
