Oirase Keiryu Onsen Ski Area trail map
Oirase Keiryu Onsen Ski Area is a small hill in the Yakeyama district of Towada, near the entrance to the Oirase Gorge. The inns of Oirase Keiryu Onsen sit just below the slope, so a hot-spring soak follows easily after skiing. There are two main slopes: a broad, almost entirely gentle family run and a course mixing easy and steeper pitches, all open to snowboarders. Night skiing is available, two local ski schools give lessons, and the hill hosts alpine races. The season usually runs from late December into early March.
