New Greenpia Tsunan Ski Resort trail map
New Greenpia Tsunan Ski Resort is the ski hill of a hot-spring resort hotel on a plateau in Tsunan, Niigata. Three lifts serve five slopes, from the gentle Stardust and Moon River runs to the 1.1 km Cosmic B and the advanced Milky Way with pitches up to 38 degrees. A snow-play corner with tubes and sleds, a ski school and winter events such as the Tsunan sky lantern release make it suited to family stays. Parking for about 1,200 cars is free, the drive from Shiozawa-Ishiuchi IC on the Kan-Etsu Expressway takes about 50 minutes, hotel guests can use a shuttle from Echigo-Yuzawa Station, and the season runs from late December to the end of March.

- Shinkansen Echigo-Yuzawa Station Joetsu Shinkansen · Until 31 Mar 2027 (★ runs winter only, 12/20-3/31) · Departs Echigo-Yuzawa 8:30★, 9:15, 11:45, 14:15, 16:45. May take around 1 hr 30 min depending on roads → Hotel shuttle bus for staying guests only from the East Exit, about 50 min (book at least 3 days ahead; in ski season board at the car park 50 m to the right of the East Exit)
- Tsunan Station JR Iiyama Line · From Kansai/Chukyo via the Chuo and Shinonoi lines, from Hokuriku via the Hokuriku Shinkansen, then the Iiyama Line → About 20 min by taxi
