Meiho Ski Resort spreads across the northeast face of Mount Eboshi in Gujo, Gifu, and is best known for its 5,000 m Alpha 5000 run, a long cruise from the summit dotted with natural terrain features. Alongside it sit a 200 m-wide beginner slope, long mogul runs and a 38-degree wall for experts, backed by snowmaking. Families come for the Meiho Snow Land kids' area and a childcare room, and a shuttle runs to the Meiho Onsen hot spring three minutes away. Close to the Gujo-Hachiman exit of the Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway, it draws day-trippers from Nagoya and the Kansai region, with skiing typically from mid-December into early April.
